THE DREAM OF A RIDICULOUS MAN

by Fyodor Dostoevsky

In this new adaptation of the classic short story, the Ridiculous Man lives in 2012 Athens, a city where no man can avoid the problems caused by the recession. In this hostile environment, our ridiculous man reaches his crisis point, coming to believe that there is no proof that life is worth living.  Is suicide the only solution for this unfortunate man? Fortunately not!

He chances on Dostoyevsky’s book The Dream of a Ridiculous Man” and lives the exact same supernatural experience as the character in the book.  It all starts when he encounters a little girl, and then has a vision –or maybe a dream through which he discovers the meaning of life.

“I have seen the truth. I have seen and I know that people can be beautiful and happy without giving up on life on earth. I will not and I cannot believe that Evil is the normal condition of mankind. It is this faith of mine that people mock. But how can I help believing it? I have seen the truth”.

One man’s moving confession of the experience that changed his life.
